More Than Physical Education
Our ESA / Homeschool Program is designed to provide homeschool families with more than a traditional physical education class. As an approved Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) and ClassWallet provider, Madrid Jiu Jitsu & Self-Defense offers a structured Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program that develops confidence, discipline, leadership, practical self-defense, and lifelong character in a welcoming, family-oriented environment.
Every class combines physical activity with meaningful life lessons. Students are encouraged to think critically, persevere through challenges, respect others, and believe in their own abilities. Our goal is to help every student become stronger physically, mentally, and emotionally while enjoying the process of learning.

Our ESA / Homeschool Program is ideal for Arizona homeschool students of all experience levels. Whether a student is looking to build confidence, stay active, learn self-defense, improve social interaction, or simply try something new, our instructors meet each student where they are and guide them at an appropriate pace.

What to Expect
What Students Learn
Students learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fundamentals including movement, balance, positional control, escapes, takedowns, submissions, and practical self-defense. More importantly, they learn resilience, problem-solving, respect, and the value of consistent effort.
