2. Services
Madrid Jiu Jitsu & Self-Defense offers Jiu Jitsu instruction, self-defense training, group classes, semi-private training, personal training, and related martial arts services. All programs are led by certified instructors and coaches. Participation in any program is voluntary and at your own risk.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services independently. Participants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian provide written consent and may only participate in designated youth programs.
4. Scheduling and Cancellations
Sessions and classes are subject to availability. We reserve the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel any class or session at any time. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance.
5. Assumption of Risk and Waiver
Participation in martial arts and fitness programs involves inherent risks including, but not limited to, physical injury, disability, or death. By participating in any Madrid Jiu Jitsu & Self-Defense program, you voluntarily assume all risks. You agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless Madrid Jiu Jitsu & Self-Defense, its owners, employees, trainers, coaches, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from your participation.
6. Health Disclaimer
Our programs are designed for individuals in good health. You should consult your physician before beginning any martial arts or fitness program. Madrid Jiu Jitsu & Self-Defense is not responsible for any injuries or health complications that may arise. It is your responsibility to inform your instructor of any medical conditions, injuries, or limitations prior to training.
7. Payments and Refunds
All payments are due at the time of purchase unless otherwise agreed upon. Membership fees, class packages, and drop-in rates are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing. Pricing is subject to change with reasonable notice.
8. Code of Conduct
All members and visitors are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and appropriate manner while on the premises. Madrid Jiu Jitsu & Self-Defense reserves the right to refuse service or revoke membership to anyone who violates our code of conduct, engages in disruptive behavior, or poses a risk to the safety of others.
9. Text Messaging & SMS Consent
By providing your phone number, you agree to receive text messages from Madrid Jiu Jitsu & Self-Defense related to class scheduling, intro session reminders, and academy updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply "N" to cancel or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
10. Promotional Text Messaging
By opting in, you agree to receive text messages from Madrid Jiu Jitsu & Self-Defense that may include offers, promotions, and news. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply N to cancel or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
11. Opt-Out & Support
You may cancel the SMS service at any time by replying "N" to our messages. After you send "N", you will receive a confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed. Once unsubscribed, you will no longer receive SMS messages from Madrid Jiu Jitsu & Self-Defense. If you wish to rejoin the messaging program, you may sign up again through the original opt-in method, and SMS messages will resume. 12. Carrier Liability
Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed, failed, or undelivered messages.
13. Message Frequency & Rates
Message and data rates may apply. You can expect to receive approximately 2–3 messages per week. For questions regarding your text or data plan, please contact your wireless carrier directly.
14. Intellectual Property
